Thanksgiving and still sick

Well, we spent time relaxing together on Thanksgiving, watching some of the parade, and just spending time together around the house. Gavin still was not feeling 100% so we have not pushed too much with playroom time. Just joining and playing together around the house. We spent a nice relaxing afternoon at Gramz and Grandpa's house (my parents) and celebrated how grateful we are for such wonderful family with Gramz, Grandpa, Grandma, Papa, and Uncle BJ. We miss Aunt Laura, Uncle Steve and Baby Jack in Minneapolis, but can't wait to see them at Christmas.

Gavin is still sick...his breathing is better but he still has the incessant "asthma" cough. He's not been fully diagnosed with asthma, but his symptoms are typically triggered when he is sick (cold or sinus infection), allergies are really bad, or sometimes with exercise and a lot of physical activity. Today he is mostly just snuggling on the couch and took a long nap!! Hopefully he will be better soon.

Dave and I are eager to get into the playroom again and to keep our Son-Rise Program going strong. Many of our volunteers will be gone for a few weeks for the Christmas break and we will miss them a lot! We should be up to 25 to 30 hours (or more) in the playroom each week once the new semester starts!! This will be very exciting and beneficial for Gavin's development.

Please keep Gavin in your thoughts and hope he will be healthy soon! One great thing is he still is communicating well today, asking great questions, and remaining pretty happy. He is such a sweetheart and has come so far!!
